Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as the Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In this role, Fisher is in charge of covering all things from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Being the child and the mother of two NASA astronauts, Kristin was raised in the industry of space. She spent the last five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Space Policy of the Administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump and the 2020 presidential election and efforts by two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. Additionally, she traveled with President Trump and the Vice President frequently. It included a secret trip to Afghanistan. Before becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin founded Field Mouse Films with her expertise behind the camera in the year 2014. The firm specialized on making documentaries for corporate clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors of Science in journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their 3-year-old daughter.
